Solid substrates such as maize, WPS, solid and poultry manure are stored, processed and fed in solid form by the solid dosing system into the digester below the liquid level.
The biomass dosing unit is characterised by its good price-performance ratio. This solid feedin unit is particularly suitable for systems with which high proportions of maize silage are to be conveyed.
With a biomass dosing unit in combination with our biomass screws, a biogas plant can be evenly fed by one of our solid matter dosing units. The botom part is made of stainless steel as standard. This ensures low wear and tear.
The solid material feeder has a dosing blade that processes the material to such an extent that the downstream screw conveyor technology can process it. The blade with plastic plain bearing prevents bridging over the screw discharge by rotation. The speed is 4 - 6 rpm and is thus matched to the extraction screw type 360. The drive is provided by robust gear motors with a downstream cardan shaft and planetary angular gear. A shear bolt coupling is integrated in the drive train as a safeguard. The consistency of the material introduced has a decisive influence on the removal rate of the system. Optimum operation is guaranteed with chopped renewable raw material. The dosing blade inside the dosing unit transfers the substrate to the screw conveyor mounted below the solid material dosing unit. This ensures a constant feed rate.
A weighing system with control technology ensures quantity control. A wide variety of displays and computer controls are available. Communication of the weighing system and control with external controls is provided as standard.
The solid matter dosing units can be supplied ready to plug in with complete electrical control. Only the main supply line has to be connected on site. This ensures quick installation of the system. We convey biomass into the fermenters in a variety of ways. Our range includes screw conveyors with capacities of up to 23 m3/h, but we can also offer solutions for any requirement. Our feeders can also be combined with other feed systems on request.

For an accurate control of the loading capacity we focus on shearing force or pressure sensors. Different display units, optionally coupled with a well-readable, alphanumeric display with double-row LEDs, provide high usability and a simple programming of the optimal dosage quantities. For the further processing of the data both analog signal outputs as well as Profibus interfaces can be be provided.
On the facilitation of maintenance operations, we offer an optional inspection opening in the container sidewall.
In order to automate the lubrication procedure, we offer a simple and cost convenient process for centralized and automated lubrication process.
For a good and above all safe view into the Solid Matter Dosing Unit, a galvanized, anti-slip ladder is available.
To reduce emissions and effects of the weather, the Solid Matter Dosing Unit can be equipped with a hydraulically operated cover. The cover is a robust stainless steel construction in segmental construction. Optional the operation of the cover via a radio remote control can be implemented.
